Raise your voice against racism. Do not let politicians exploit the issue of “immigrants” for political gain.

We, as immigrants, contribute significantly to this country. We pay our own rent, cover our bills, and contribute through visa fees, the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS), council tax, income tax, and National Insurance. Yet, many of us do not claim any benefits—and we do not depend on them.

So what do we ask for?

We ask to be treated as human beings—with dignity and respect—regardless of the color of our skin or the accent in our English. Accents should not be a barrier. After all, within the UK itself, people from England, Scotland, and Wales all have distinct ways of speaking. Diversity in language and culture has always been part of this nation’s identity.

The UK is already facing many serious challenges, yet too often these issues are overshadowed. Instead, some politicians choose to focus on immigration because it is an easy way to influence public opinion and win votes. This kind of divisive politics does not solve problems—it deepens them.

It is time to move beyond blame and division, and instead focus on fairness, respect, and unity. Peace 🙌
